At long last we’ve published our new and improved web site! Featuring a revamped, mobile-friendly interface, more dynamic content, and plenty of room for expansion in WordPress we hope this new site makes your navigating experience a pleasant one.

Porcelain veneers

Gaps between your front teeth, stained teeth, badly shaped or crooked teeth may all be corrected with porcelain veneers. These thin shells of ceramic bond directly to the front and top surfaces of the teeth are an ideal choice for improving your smile. After application, ultra-thin porcelain veneers are nearly undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. Because they are so thin, light can shine through them and take on the natural color of the underlying tooth.

Porcelain veneers can last for more than a decade with proper care. We’ll craft yours from the highest quality porcelains and bond them with high quality dental cement.

Applying veneers requires three appointments:

We’ll first review the limitations of this procedure with you and help you plan your new smile. Your preparation appointment will take one to two hours. Your teeth will be lightly buffed to allow for the added thickness of the veneer. We’ll remove about one half of a millimeter of tooth surface. This may require little or no local anesthesia.

We’ll make an impression of your teeth and send it to the dental lab for veneer fabrication. We may place a temporary veneer until your permanent veneers arrive. Your veneers should be ready in approximately 2-3 weeks.

During your third appointment, we’ll check the fit and color. The color can be adjusted by the shade of the cement used to adhere it. Once the correct color is determined, and the veneer is ready to be applied, we clean the tooth. Special cement is applied and a visible light beam used to harden the cement. This appointment takes approximately one to two hours.

We may ask you to return for a follow-up visit after one to two weeks. You’ll brush and floss as you normally would. Non-abrasive toothpaste is recommended. You may experience some sensitivity to hot and cold after your procedure. This is normal and should dissipate after one to two weeks. With proper home care and scheduled visits, veneers will provide you with a beautiful smile for years to come.
